Curate your own virtual art exhibition on a topic that relates to our course of study (North American colonial and U.S. art, c. 1630-1930). Write an introductory text panel that presents your exhibition’s theme, explaining how the exhibit relates to a broader historical context and expands our understanding of course material. Choose four objects of North American colonial or U.S. art that illuminate different aspects of your theme. Write descriiptive labels for each work of art. Create three mock social media posts to promote your exhibition.
Abstracts must include (1) the exhibition’s working title, (2) a 200–250-word paragraph explaining your topic, and (3) the list of works that you are considering featuring in your exhibition.
