Each student will prepare a Centre Manual for a 3-5 childcare facility.  The purpose of this assignment is to develop policies and procedures for the operation of a childcare centre, to communicate clearly what the operations are, to parents, staff, Community Care Facilities Licensing (CCFL), and the general public. 
Philosophy – What are the centre’s core beliefs? Is the centre private or non-profit, union or non-union?  What is the auspice of the centre?
Parent Handbook – the policies and procedures pertaining to parents and their role
Enrollment/registration policies and procedures
Fees and payment schedule
Drop off and pick up policies and procedures
Subsidy information
Discipline policy (as above)
Health and safety policies (as above)
Food policies (as above)
Daily Schedule
The manuals must be clear, easy to understand, and organized.
