Feedback Resources. Post links to at least one academic article and one online resource on giving feedback. Choose one feedback practice and indicate how it could improve the feedback you give in your triad as an observer.
Feedback Lessons Learned. Recall a time when someone gave you straightforward feedback that had a positive impact, even though it was embarrassing or uncomfortable to receive. Summarize what was it about the feedback and the way it was given that resulted in a positive impact for you. What changes did you implement based on this feedback? What lessons can you take from this situation about how to improve your own feedback skills?
Feedback Relived. Remember a time when you wanted to give someone feedback and did not. What was the barrier? What were the consequences of not giving the feedback? How might you give effective feedback if you had a chance to live this situation over again? Reference the readings in your discussion of how you would give effective feedback if you could live the situation over.
Engage in discussion with one other student about either feedback lessons learned or feedback relived. Post coach-approach questions to support each others’ learning about feedback. If possible, engage in discussion with a student you have not worked with much in this course.
