The team will create or find a bioethical dilemma case that would be a likely candidate for consideration by a bioethics committee.
Summary of the dilemma and reason it was referred to the bioethics committee
• Input and recommendations from each participant based on her/his role. E.g., patient,
family member, nurse, doctor, social worker, risk management (legal), religious leaders,
therapists, committee chair, etc.
• The recommendations of the committee (bioethics committees only make recommendations, they do not decide bioethical dilemmas)
• Ethical theories/principles that guided your recommendations
