As the Director of Health Programs at an organization that focuses on diabetes awareness, education, and policy development, you selected a staff member to manage a new initiative on increasing the proportion of adults with diabetes who have an annual foot examination. Another staff member became upset that they were not selected for the position and is being uncooperative with the manager of the initiative. How would you mediate the conflict between the manager and the staff member?
