The following Course Outcome is assessed in this assignment:
CS126-3: Describe team development concepts applied to real-life experiences.
Summarizing information is a crucial skill, especially in today’s world where people often suffer from information overload. Annual reports include an executive summary, bosses often ask for memos summarizing any proposed ideas, news media is constantly summarizing the day’s events, and presentations to clients involve summarizing information so that the client can more easily understand the vital points. You briefly read about summarizing and paraphrasing to prepare you to summarize an article on team building that you will need during your degree program.
Although the summary is brief, in this assignment you will also practice APA format and citation style for the title and reference pages.
Checklist:
Read the article by Fulk et al. article (2011) about team development, as specified in your reading area.
Compose a brief original summary of the five stages of the small group development section of the article in your own words. Note: You do not need to summarize the entire article.
Describe how team development concepts from the article have applied to a team situation at work or a military team that you have personally experienced.
Include one APA formatted and styled in-text citation with accompanying reference.
Add the reference page for the article (see the reading area) and a separate title page. Use the current APA format and citation style. Access the APA tutorial in the learning activity and see Purdue University Global Writing Center’s APA 7th edition Citation and Reference guides.

Submit your summary/application in a Word document consisting of 350 words in current APA format. Provide additional title and reference pages and assure that your submission has correct spelling and grammar. Then submit your assignment to the Unit 5 Assignment Dropbox.
