What is Mahler doing with the scherzo in his 2nd symphony that is new (like usi

What is Mahler doing with the scherzo in his 2nd symphony that is new (like using material from a song)? Which parts of this movement are taken from the “Antonius Fischpredigt” song, and which are not? What is the form of this movement? (See Floros book that is attached below.) Are there any ways it is similar to a scherzo in a Beethoven symphony, like the scherzo in Eroica? Or is it more different? (please use musical examples from the score!!!). I also attached a book that talks about it please read that and use the material to help (the section about the 2nd symphony starts on p51)
